BARACK OBAMA: PRESIDENT-ELECT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

November 4, 2008 will go down in history as THE DAY AMERICA SANG HER REDEMPTION SONG.

Even Florida went for Obama. My God, what is happening?

Home is finally home sweet home.

Obama won tonight, and I danced, my beautiful classmates. I danced.

I danced to celebrate THE END OF 8 YEARS OF PRESIDENT BUSH.

I danced because Obama didn't simply win... he won by a FUCKING ENORMOUS LANDSLIDE.

I danced because Obama looked into the eyes of millions of people around the world and said, "All things are possible."

I danced because young black children across America will know that they can one day be the president of the United States. They, too, are America.

I danced for the amazing grassroots movement of people in America and throughout the world who mobilized for Obama.

I danced because racism LOST. Hatred LOST. Fear-mongering LOST. The anti-Socialist, McCarthyist scare tactics LOST. Ignorance LOST. The dirty tricks of the Republican party LOST

I danced because the widespread, nationwide efforts to steal this election FAILED.

I danced to celebrate the hope for change and progress.

I danced to celebrate the spirit of sacrifice.

I danced because, as Sam Cooke sang decades ago: a change is gonna come.

A change is gonna come.

I danced for Obama and I danced for America.
