Writing to Evaluate
Ideas to write about: a personal interest, book, tv ad, tv show, newspaper article, cultural subject,etc..
Rhetorical considerations
Title - should reflect your stand on the issue
audience - will they agree or will they need convincing.
Intro - why you are making the evaluation, your purpose, indicate your conclusion in the begining, set the scene(vivid description)
body - purpose, evaluate the subject to persuade others to agree, use visuals (images) to support claim
voice, tone, and point of view - sarcasim, anger, even tempered, cautious, optimisim, fear, etc..
provide supporting evidence (facts, statistics, etc..)
conclusion - clearly state your judgement, summarize examples
