1 an·i·mal: \ˈa-nə-məl\ n-any of a kingdom (Animalia) of living things including many-celled organisms and often many of the single-celled ones (as protozoans) that typically differ from plants in having cells without cellulose walls, in lacking chlorophyll and the capacity for photosynthesis, in requiring more complex food materials (as proteins), in being organized to a greater degree of complexity, and in having the capacity for spontaneous movement and rapid motor responses to stimulation.
Animals:
Humans are animals.
Dogs are animals.
Elephants are animals.
even Protozoans are animals.
Then, why arent we all treated equal? Why do humans take advantage of what evolution has given them?
Humans, as we obviously know are the most sophisticated and superior animal in the Animal Kingdom. We are capable of creating, building, speaking many languages, etc.. that pretty much all animals cannot.
However, why do we feel the need to be so cruel?
Human evolution, or anthropogenesis, is the part of biological evolution concerning the emergence of Homo sapiens sapiens as a distinct species from other hominans, great apes and placental mammals.(WIKIPEDIA)
Consider this image:
We can conclude that humans in fact, did evolve from monkeys. We are All animals. And we ALL should share the same equal rights as another. I feel, because we are the "superior beings", we should actually help the animals that are less sophisticated as us.
This includes:
building habitats, not destroying them.
making sure all domesticated pets are neutered to decrease the number of strays.
monitoring dumping sites. KEEP AWAY FROM WATER!
somehow fixing global warming (i know this is a tough issue)
and most important, know that animals, like humans can indure pain and suffering although they cannot express it like we do. They still feel it.
So when humans destroy animal habitats for their own personal gain, animals feel it. They know where they used to roam free is now destroyed. Animals don't have insurance, they can't be redemmed for the homes that were destroyed. They have to find other habitats that aren't suitable for them and they lose their living space. After pollution or destruction habitats take hundreds of years to redevolpe(Animal Port) Pollution and destruction change the balance of nature. Each species in a habitat (for example, wood, jungle, marsh or forest) needs and helps the rest. If one animal, bird or insect disappears, all the others suffer, too.
This is what's happening in the rainforests of South America, Africa and Asia. These are some of the world's oldest habitats. Or they were. Man is destroying an area of rainforest as big as Switzerland every year.
Consider these statistics: (in europe)
50% of the woods have disappeared.
50% of the marshes have disappeared.
95% of the meadows have disappeared.
What are the solutions to this habitat destruction problem?:
protecting animals in danger by law.
opening more national parks.
building fewer new roads.
planting more new forests.
cutting pollution.
If this doesn't happen, many wild animals will soon have just one habitat, the zoo.
