Zach, I hear, and I shall heed your call! The time has come to grow conversations on the wiki. The whole idea behind the WeekOne linking assignment, which asked us to break open our wiki text (click edit!) and make a link, was that we should read each other's wiki writing, grow conversations, and begin thinking about forming groups. We yoked this notion to the mantra "thinking is linking," so we wouldn't forget that linking is a fundamental writing gesture for the 21st century. Once we break into a text, we find ourselves in a rhetorical situation, where the fundamentals of dialogue remind us that even when we are writing alone, we are writing alone together.
Zach, I had an idea. David and I are still hacking at these donor laptops. In the meantime, I propose a solution. Would you be mousejockey for MC ShareRiff this week in class? This way you would be on a computer. From time to time, I'll ask you to tab out something for the whole group to see/hear. What to you think?
