Daniel Miller Peer Grading

Let me begin by saying that one of your intended goals was an overwhelming success in my eyes. By actively pursuing a hyperbolic style of persuasion, your writing succeeded in pissing me off. This was followed by humor when I read that it was deliberate. You caught me, hook, line and sinker.

I wouldn't worry about the grammar, spelling or mechanics of this piece. I caught... only one inconsequential mistake I believe (it seemed to be a typo) and promptly took the liberty of adding a missing letter.

Rather than butter you up on all the things I liked about your essay (I liked everything but one thing), I'll focus on the dirty laundry. Your essay flowed well so far as the individual sections transitioned seamlessly throughout. On the same subject, however, the logical persuasion of the essay lacked flow when you seemed to have an aside of only implicit pertinence. As you give me a history lesson, I was intrigued as to where you would take it. Also, I could very well see how potentially the historical aside might well provide supporting evidence. Unfortunately this evidence seemed entirely implicit. In short, due to a lack of an explicit link between some of your supporting evidence and the persuasive conclusions of your writing... I'm afraid that you have forced my hand. I regret to inform you that I have had to dock you a fraction of a point.

24.75/25

(I can't dock you much, remember the scope of the assignment and the relative success of yours within the class)
