About me:
"Live life or die trying."
My name is Jocelyn, the lazy people call me Jozie, and I would appreciate not having the Josie and the Pussycats theme song be our only conversation starter. I grew up in Tampa, FL, and recently moved to Downtown St. Pete with a good friend. Of course, I go to USF (as an Anthropology major, by the way!). I am concentrating on physical anthropology. I work overnight at Target as a merchandiser, and I love it, regardless of how exhausting it gets sometimes. I play a lot of guitar hero, read lots of books/watch lots of documentaries, and get poked with needles as often as I can afford it. I love my kitties, my 1966 mustang, and my hot pink road bike! Learning and body modification are my passions, and they fall hand in hand surprisingly often.
I am an atheist, and militant about it. I believe whole heartedly that religion is one of the most destructive aspects of the world today (so if I sneeze, please don't say, "bless you".) I am also vegan, just as militantly. Regardless of holding very strong beliefs, I still treat everyone with the utmost respect, unless they find chicks who burp disrespectful. I tend to spend a lot of my time awestruck at the amazing universe around me, and am eternally appreciative to be this cluster of ever changing matter that miraculously maintains sentience and comprehension unparalleled by anything known (but most definitely present). In my life, busy intersections are just as beautiful as lush forests, passing a blunt at sunrise is just as valuable as the education we spend thousands of dollars on, and second (then third, fourth, fifth..) chances are always welcome. I try my best to breathe every breath with a smile and I believe wholeheartedly that one's own happiness is in an individual's control.
Really, I just have a lot of things to say and a lot of things to learn, but to sum up exactly how I live my life, I'll leave you with this quote; "You're alive, my friend. What could be sweeter?"
..."I am an atheist, and militant about it. I believe whole heartedly that religion is one of the most destructive aspects of the world today"...thank you. -cali
