GUIDE CHAPTER 4
BE AWARE OF YOUR AUDIENCE. That is the main concept as to how you go about sharing your own personal experiences. Writing is broken down into four basic areas of your life: civic, professional, personal, and in college. When writing you should take a few things into consideration especially when sharing experiences. Think about your audience, the purpose of your writing, the voice, tone and point of view, the context, medium, and of course genre. Coming from the audience's point of you they expect certain things out of the writer such as having a clear sense of purpose, a significant point, a lively narrative, and an honest representation (also requires doing your research) of the actual experience. Overall it is important that you stay true to your experience and you allow your audience to get something out of that experience. In all, this chapter is a good resource for guiding you through every step to writing about your experience everywhere from the draft, editing, conventions, documentations, self-assessments, and everything else you would need to know.
